F-Response 8.7.1.33 Now Available
Aug 27, 2024
We're happy to announce the latest update to F-Response is now available on the downloads page. In this latest release we focused on correcting a few minor issues reported with F-Response Universal and Collect, as well as updating all versions to the latest cloud service access libraries.
With F-Response Universal, we addressed a user reported issue around SMB and network share access from Windows 2022 Server machines that had the Universal Examiner tooling installed. The solution was to move to a simple device attachment model for F-Response Universal's MemoryShare and DiscoveryShare targets. This latest installer will remove the internal device drivers for network share attachment and replace them up one designed only to perform simple share attachment. This has no bearing on the overall usage of F-Response Universal but solves a strange edge case with Windows servers.
For F-Response Collect, we addressed a number of minor management console issues around the proper naming of collections in the display during creation or deletion. We've also added new and more stringent transaction hints to the Collect Server itself to better prevent rare collection situations that might result in a subject no longer being accessible in F-Response Collect. Neither of these changes require the deployment of new subjects.
That's it for 8.7.1.33. Be sure to head to the Downloads page to get the latest.
Thanks for reading.
We'll see you again soon.
Warmest Regards,
M Shannon
