Five Reasons Your Next Forensic Collection Should be Remote

Aug 06, 2024

We've always been huge proponents of Remote Forensic Collection, and the last few years have done nothing to dissuade that.

Without further delay, here are the five reasons we think your next forensic collection should be remote.

  1. Have you been on an airplane lately?

Even the bellwether of no frills flying is switching to assigned seats. It's official, flying isn't fun. It's a tightly-packed steel-tube-of-unpleasantness with lousy snacks, lukewarm sodas, and seats whose cushions resemble plywood. And all of that only applies if your flight actually takes off. None of this is a given. Unless you really love the idea of being flung across space and time in a can built when "Uptown Funk" was new, maybe you should be giving remote forensics a closer look?

  1. Your health. It's important.

Pick your poison. Is it COVID19, Influenza, RSV, or something new and exciting we've yet to officially name? Bottom line, there's a lot of yuck out there. While you've most likely done your civic duty and gotten as vaccinated as you can, it's still not fun to expose yourself to the petri dish of life if you can avoid it. Going to visit your family? Sorry, can't avoid it. Collecting a remote image? Well, we do have a solution for that...

  1. Short tempers and angry people.

This one really accelerated post pandemic, but have you noticed how quickly anger boils over anymore? And that's even avoiding the two most taboo subjects, politics and religion. Everyone's got a take, they're angry about it, and want to make sure you are too. It's exhausting being out among your fellow man (and woman). If only there was a way to collect remote evidence without needing to do that...

  1. Computers are really hard to take apart.

When did this happen? When did laptops become hermetically sealed metal slabs impossible to pry apart with even the most fancy of screwdrivers? My colleagues tell me this was a while ago, which just further underscores how nice it is to not have to do that and instead do your forensic investigations and collections from remote.

  1. F-Response is there for you.

Did you notice a pattern? You're a computer forensics practitioner, of course you did. The pattern is simple, much like our humor. F-Response is there for you with multitple fast, efficient, and very much cost-effective remote forensic collection solutions. We've got a bunch of them because the world presents lots of challenges. If any of this sounds good to you, reach out and let us know what vexes you. If it's remote and forensics, chances are, we've got you covered.
