I recently received word from Dario Forte and the rest of his team at DFLabs in Italy, it looks like PTK users will soon be able to directly access F-Response attached disks live from the PTK system.

For those of you not familiar wth PTK I have included the following from their website:

"PTK is an alternative advanced interface for the TSK suite (The SleuthKit). The software is a free interface developed in order to improve
the features already present in ‘Autopsy Forensic Browser’ (the former TSK interface). In addition to providing the functions already present in Autopsy Forensic Browser it implements numerous new essential forensic features. PTK is more than just a new graphic and highly
professional interface based on Ajax technology; it offers numerous features such as analysis, search and management of complex digital
investigation cases ."

Bottom line? We couldn't be happier. The mission of F-Response since the very beginning has been "We are not in the imaging or analysis business, we are in the business of getting the data to you, and then getting out of the way!"

So, now you can use PTK along with any of the other analysis tools you have at your disposal to access physical disks and physical memory live via F-Response.
