CEIC 2010 Wrap Up

May 27, 2010

What a truly enjoyable conference. We had an amazing out pouring of well wishes for F-Response, both the product, and the team of people that support it. First and foremost a very special thanks to all our customers that came by to say hello. It's so immensely enjoyable to be able to put a face with a name and shake the hands of the people responsible for getting to where we are today. We truly could not be where we are today without your passion and efforts, Thank you!

For those of you that didn't make it out to CEIC this year, mark your calendar for next year, as we'll be in Orlando, FL (a short 2 hour drive from F-Response Headquarters) at CEIC 2011. If you can make it, we highly suggest you do. Guidance puts on one of the nicest and cleanest run events in the business. The exhibit floor was a virtual "who's who" of the industry, many of whom were delivering excellent presentations on Forensics, Triage, and E-Discovery.

Craig Ball

Easily one of my favorite people, I consider it an honor to have Craig as a friend. It was great having him stop by the booth and catch me up on all things e-Discovery.

Ryan Pittman and Dave Shaver

Ryan and Dave, customers, and authors, stopped by the booth to autograph their chapters in Eoghan Casey's book. Thanks gentlemen, it was great to see you both.

Mitch Impey

Mr. F-Response LinkedIn Users Group, Mitch Impey stopped by the booth. It was a tremendous pleasure to meet and talk to Mitch. He's been a fan and an instrumental advocate for F-Response since the first weeks. Thanks Mitch! Have a safe trip back home!

Andy Joyce, e-forensic, and Cpl Doug Collins

The Canadian contingent stopped by to say hello and regal us with some of the amazing enscript + F-Response scripting tools they had developed. That's the first time I've seen someone write a script that uses F-Response, Encase, and can send a TXT message when it's finished "working". It's "You have Evidence!" without the AOL commercial! Very impressive, contact these guys for all things F-Response in Canada.

Yogesh Khatri @ 42LLC

Yogesh from 42LLC came by to talk enscript and F-Response. Yogesh and the team at 42LLC really "get it" and it was a pleasure to talk technology with him. Watch this space for interesting developments from those guys.

Passware & Full Disk Encryption

Why is it the most interesting password breakers come from Russia? I don't know, but after watching Passware's Bitlocker software and discussing having it work directly with F-Response, all I can say is keep an eye on what those guys are doing, very, very impressive stuff.

Intella, Peter, Tom, and Natasha

You have to love the amazing job Peter and company are doing with Intella. I remember seeing this product over a year ago in China for the very first time, well since then it's exploded with new functionality, while amazingly enough staying true to the remarkable visualization model they do so well. Intella's GUI makes F-Response look quite, well, Spartan. As far as I'm concerned easily one of the most impressive visualization models available on the market.

Mike Webber, BitSec Global

Always a pleasure to see Mike. BitSec was one of our first "official" training partners, and as the owner of both a consulting and software business I've sent two of our my consultants through their training courses. Top notch and clearly worthy of your training dollars.

Chad Gough

Chad's one of those guys that sees all the potentials of F-Response and isn't afraid to jump in there and make it happen. He's doing some exciting things with .NET and the F-Response scripting object, if your looking for alternative scripting models and leverage F-Response and .NET for large collections talk to Chad.

Henry Xu & Meiya Pico Information Technology (Xiamen, China)

A hearty "Ni Hao" to Henry, one of our good contacts in China. Henry was kind enough to tell me the my Chinese was "understandable". High praise indeed! wo hui shuo hanyu, ke shi, wo shuo de bu hao.

Lastly, to all our corporate customers who most likely have rules against being mentioned on blogs, thank you very much for coming out and saying hi!

All in all it was a wonderful conference. Thank you each for coming out, saying hi, and helping to spread the word about F-Response. Any success we have is a direct result of your effort and goodwill.

Thanks!

Warmest Regards,

M. Shannon, Founder
